Picture the last week of the month at a growing distributor in Bogotá. Orders came in from quotes all month. A few invoices need a correction. A customer paid for a training course and expects to start on Monday. Across the office, the finance lead wants to close the books on Friday, in pesos, with every document in its own series and nothing quietly converted to dollars. And the team is curious about AI, as long as someone they trust still signs off.

That week is why ABS 2.4 exists.

Alliance Business Suite 2.4 is our commercial release. It brings the whole commercial loop into one place, in your own currency. It treats payments and trust as controls you hold, not settings you hope are right. And it gives your people and your AI agents one organization to work in, with a person making every decision that matters.

What 2.4 means for you

The whole commercial loop, in your own currency

Your work rarely starts with an invoice. It starts with a quote. When a customer says yes, you place the order straight from the quote while it's open and not expired, so nothing gets retyped and nothing drifts. Every order takes a number in your own series, such as ORD-000123, and nobody can edit it after the fact.

When an invoice needs a correction, you issue a credit note or a debit note against it. Each note takes the next number in your note series, a credit note can never exceed what's still creditable on the invoice, and with automatic journal posting turned on, the change lands in your books once the original invoice is there. Colombian notes carry the reason and the full reference to the original invoice. Your invoice-number ranges tell you when they're expiring or nearly used up, and your billing administrators hear about it before an automatic invoice has no usable range left.

Money stays in the currency it belongs to. When you create a workspace, you choose its currency, and its carts and documents follow it. Every document keeps its own currency, and ABS never falls back to US dollars when a document has one. Each organization maps its documents to its own accounts explicitly, so the month closes the way your accountant expects.

The loop reaches past invoices, too. When a buyer pays for a course, they're enrolled. You design banner sets in Studio and place them on your site's pages and posts. Your published catalogs and carts know which sales channel they belong to.

Simple to buy, simple to license

Choosing ABS should feel as clear as using it. ABS pricing lays out the plans, a simple checkout takes you from choosing a plan to using it, and you can start on the Free plan in that same flow. You see and manage your license where you already work, in Studio and Nucleus Web.

Payments connect through Stripe and Mercado Pago. At launch, both connections run in test mode, and live collection follows once it's enabled. Card details are entered on the payment provider's own checkout.

AI that advises, people who decide

Teams want AI's help without handing over the keys. We believe AI belongs in your business only under your rules, and in 2.4 that belief becomes something you can see.

System 1, a decision engine: AI agents and workflows ask it for a suggested outcome, approvers see that suggestion clearly labeled as AI advice in organizations that opt in, and every use is metered and can be switched off.

Advice stays off until you turn it on. An approvals manager opts in only after seeing exactly which provider and model would be used and which approval fields are shared. If any of that changes later, advice pauses until you confirm again, and opting out hides it at once. An approver is always a person, never an automated account, and each approver holds one seat per approval stage. However confident the AI is, it can't skip an approval.

Trust you can build on

You sign in with your email, and every email address belongs to only one account. If your account uses two-step verification, it can't sign in with a password alone on any path, and repeated failures lock the account. Orders, invoices, payments, and quotes read through a wallet are shown only to the wallet's owner. Contact records never carry your sign-in provider's access token, and sign-in tokens for AI connectors are checked more strictly.

We hold the platform to the same standard. Each organization's data stays inside its own boundary, and we keep strengthening that isolation across the platform. When something goes wrong, you see a clear message with a reference our team can trace, and internal details stay private. Writing code that runs in your business is available only where the instance owner's administrators enable it, and only to people with permission to author code.

One business, wherever you work

You run one ABS business from Nucleus Web today, with Studio when you need depth, and your people and your AI agents work in one organization under the same rules. Nucleus Desktop and Nucleus Mobile are coming, and so are their downloads.

Studio has a new look, built on the latest version of its design system, and its pages load their data through the same API you build on. Grids show related records by name instead of codes. Page titles sit in the record header, amounts display in full, and everyday actions such as deleting a record, opening a row menu, or revoking a role are quick and predictable. Administration pages load and save cleanly, the onboarding tour steps aside when you're done with it, and screen readers announce the page you're on.

Your team gets more organized as well. A position can hold several people, up to a capacity you set, inside a department. Job offers appear publicly once you publish them. You archive notifications in your inbox without deleting anything, and emails you write in another language arrive in that language.

How we got here

ABS 2.4 stands on the ground we laid between 2.2.0 and 2.3.3.

ABS 2.2, live since October 2, gave the Suite its sense of judgment. Role-based permissions came to every feature and every action, and notifications learned to reach the right person once, with a record of why. AI agents became governed workflow steps that run under the workflow's own identity and leave an audit record, and assistants began working from your data through the same permission-checked search you use yourself. Signing keys stay in their vault, licenses are verified against a trust manifest, and new businesses start in their own currency.

ABS 2.3, live through 2.3.3 since October 7, opened the door to the AI tools you already use. AI assistants such as ChatGPT can connect to your workspace's MCP server, the open standard many assistants use to reach tools, with tokens issued for that server alone. Invitations reach the right people, Studio got faster and steadier, and production got steadier along the way.

Each of those releases has its own post on this blog, with the full story.

For developers

If you build on ABS, one change needs your attention before you upgrade. The legacy token endpoint, /api/v2/OAuth/Token, which issued tokens for a client ID and secret, is off by default. This release has no replacement for machine-to-machine sign-in, so if your integration depends on it, contact us before you upgrade.

Studio pages load their data through the platform's API, the same API you build on. The API documentation pages are refreshed, and concurrent messages retry automatically.

Where we're going

What follows is direction, not a promise of dates or features.

ABS is our business operating system for the AI era: a place where AI agents do real work under your rules, and a person approves what matters. ABS 2.4 makes that real for the commercial side of your business.

Document proof, planned for ABS 2.5, is the first step on our Web3 roadmap. Further steps depend on legal review, and we'll share them as they clear it.

Our north star for finance is Finance Cloud: what a modern bank or fintech gives your business, built so that we never hold your funds or your keys. It's coming, and every finance feature in ABS points toward it. Alliance Business Cloud is planned, and industry clouds come after that.

Back to that distributor in Bogotá. On Friday, the finance lead closes the month in pesos. Every order, invoice, and note sits in its own series, the corrections are in the books, the course buyer starts on Monday, and the one approval where AI offered advice was still decided by a person. That's the business we build ABS for, and 2.4 is a big step toward it.
